‘The Next Chapter’: Dubai’s largest tennis stadium to feature in new luxury lifestyle project
Wasl unveils landmark expansion of Jumeirah Golf Estates
DUBAI: Wasl, one of the UAE’s largest real estate developers, has announced the next phase of development for Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE), unveiling a transformative masterplan dubbed ‘The Next Chapter’.
The expansion significantly elevates the scale and scope of JGE, aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and cementing its status as one of the city’s most ambitious luxury lifestyle destinations.
The new masterplan spans a total area of 4.68 million square metres and will introduce 12,345 residential units across six distinct lifestyle districts. The residential offering includes 780 luxurious villas, 752 estate homes, 62 ultra-luxury hilltop mansions, 97 branded residences, and 10,654 apartments. These homes, distributed across 1.83 million square metres of residential development, are expected to accommodate more than 51,700 residents upon completion.
‘The Next Chapter’
Strategically located along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), JGE’s expansion ensures seamless connectivity through direct access to a new Etihad Rail station currently under construction. Residents and visitors will also benefit from proximity to four major arterial roads: Al Yalayis Street / Jebel Ali Al-Hibab Road (D57), Al Khail Road / Al Fay Road (E44), and Al Jamayel Street (D59), in addition to the E311. Further enhancing accessibility, Dubai Metro integration and proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport offer enhanced transport options for residents and tourists alike.
The infrastructure will be supported by 1.5 million square metres of open green areas and landscaped recreational spaces. This includes a 131,850 square metre Central Park – set to become one of the largest parks within any residential community in Dubai – designed as a key hub for leisure, wellness, and community events.
Premium living & recreation
Jumeirah Golf Estates – The Next Chapter – will feature six interconnected lifestyle districts: Central Park, Village, Town Centre & Grand Lake, Golf Course North, Golf Course South, and Equestrian Village. These will be linked by green corridors and wellness trails, promoting walkability and active living.
The hospitality offering will be anchored by a five-star Mandarin Oriental resort, further enhancing the community’s prestige. Active living remains a central theme, with the inclusion of a new 18-hole golf course, a full-scale golf academy, a world-class equestrian centre with show-jumping facilities, and what is set to be Dubai’s largest tennis stadium, accommodating over 5,000 spectators.
Supporting amenities include over 48,000 square metres of retail and F&B space, a 46,000 square metre international school campus, healthcare centres, religious institutions, and other civic facilities, all tailored to serve a multigenerational, diverse population.
